
I am a member of the British Association for
Counselling & Psychotherapy and I abide by their code of ethics. I am also a member of
the Federation of Holistic Therapists. I was trained for three years
and qualified in Psychodynamic Counselling, completing in 1990. In
addition, I have been trained to certificate level in bereavement
counselling, drug & alcohol addiction, stress management and eating
disorders. I also have a Post Graduate Diploma in sexual &
relationship psychotherapy. Over the many years in private practice, I

you 100% of my attention and respect. I will value your need for
confidentiality and I will support you in ways that will leave you in
no doubt that you are being truly heard. I try to give you the
opportunity to have an appointment time that fits in with your busy
schedule, so I offer evening appointments up to 8 p.m. Double
length appointments can be offered for couples.
My
counselling room is situated in a quiet, peaceful, tranquil location
which is not overlooked and cannot be overheard.

My objective in counselling is to gently enable clients to look at their present situation, as well as past events which may have influenced it, and to
sensitively help them develop their own skills and strengths, so that they become able not only to make appropriate decisions in the present, but also to live more effectively in the future.
