When you integrate the emotional energies of the wounded parts of you that have been repressed you stop using so much energy repressing your emotions and engaging in stressful controlling behaviours. In order to develop real security and happiness from within and become your authentic self you must heal past repressed emotions . Otherwise, you become stuck in self-defeating ways of being that will not bring you happiness.
Repressed emotions can manifest in a variety of physical and mental health problems, such as depression, anxiety, lack of energy, poor health, addictions. By repressing and rejecting the aspects of you that need your love and attention, you are withholding love from yourself causing you to feel unloved and not good ENOUGH. This can lead to you staying stuck in unhappy situations that hold you back in life, causing feelings of guilt, low self-worth, poor health, anxiety and depression.
Your fears are calling for you to look deeper within yourself to see the repressed, unhealed parts of you in need of your contact, awareness, love and acceptance.
