Others are a reflection of our inner world. Others mirror our beliefs about ourselves, others and the world. Our most intimate relationships are the biggest emotional triggers that show to us the unresolved, hidden parts of us that we reject. When we can deeply understand that others are a mirror of our inner self, we can then begin to see all our relationships in a new light.
Shame can be seen as the shadow side of ourselves, the part of us that we do not wish to reveal to others. Shame is afeeling deep within the core of ourselves that convinces us that we are in some way inferior. Shame can always be found hidden underneath feelings of unworthiness and fear.
Fear acts as a safety mechanism that warns us when we are facing potential danger. However the fear we experience is rarely life threatening, but is more often a warning sign that we are about to step out of our comfort zone. Our comfort zone is where we feel safe and secure.
